Rab Ne Banadi yellowish Jodi

I was watching Rab Ne Banadi Jodi few days back. Yellow tiffinbox, yellow suitcase, yellow car - usage of yellow color, representing Punjabi Golden Temple connection is quite extensive in the film. Doubt if non-punjabis and non-north Indians could associate with it ?
